How it works

Think of HushVault as a private “second home” for personal media that shouldn’t live in a shared gallery. You upload what you want to protect, lock it with a PIN, then do a quick cleanup in your photo app.

Works with almost any phone. Upload common photo/video formats from iPhone and Android (JPG/PNG/HEIC/AVIF + MP4/MOV/WebM and more). If a file can’t be previewed in your browser, HushVault will still store it securely and show a safe placeholder.
step 1

Sign in (fast)

Use Google Sign‑In so you don’t have another password to manage. HushVault uses Google only to verify who you are — we do not read your Google Photos library.

step 2

Upload to your vault

Drag and drop (desktop) or pick files (mobile). Organize into private Collections so you can find things later.

step 3

Lock it down

Set a Vault PIN and enable auto‑lock. Your vault also uses blurred previews by default, so it’s safe at a glance. If you want maximum privacy, you can enable encryption‑at‑rest (optional).

step 4

Quick cleanup (so it stops showing up)

Only you can remove items from third‑party apps (Google Photos, iCloud, Samsung Gallery, etc.). Here’s a safe, no‑drama checklist:

Google Photos (Android)
1. Open Google Photos → Library
2. Check Photos on device / device folders
3. Delete the items you moved to HushVault
4. Empty Recently deleted
5. Review Sharing / Partner Sharing / shared albums
iPhone / iCloud Photos
1. Open Photos → Recents or the album
2. Delete the items you moved to HushVault
3. Empty Recently Deleted
4. Check Shared Albums (if enabled)

Want “move + delete” from the phone in one flow? That’s exactly what the planned Android app is for.

Tip: The best long‑term fix is separate accounts for kids’ devices. Shared logins are convenient — until they aren’t.
